Raf, himself an avid collector of his work, likes to incorporate prints and photographs by the famous American Pop-Art artists Andy Warhol into his designs. During his short tenure at Calvin Klein, he used various prints on different pieces like bags, jackets, coats and denim (please see our catalogue for further examples of this practice). 

This specific piece features a black and white print depicting a photograph of a building with the American flag. It is one of Warhol´s lesser-known motives. This is the reason since Raf Simons got unprecedented access to the Warhol archives and therefore could use unknown works. For his collections, he chose a mix out of very famous motives and basically unknown ones, like this photograph. 

The white bag itself is finished in Nappa leather and is also leather lined. It has one big pocket on the inside. The quality is exceptional. The retail price of the bag was around 1.5k.

Pieces from Calvin Klein 205w39nyc, especially accessories and outerwear, are slowly but surely increasing in price, as more and more collectors show growing interest in the line.
