Poell, who was born in Austria in 1966, lives and works in Milan, where he started his clothing brand in 1995. He does not work within the classic fashion cycle but rather produces and shows when he feels like it. Poell, who has developed a cult following around himself, is widely considered one of the most important and influential designers in the avant-garde and artisanal fashion world. Especially his use of leather and tailoring are revolutionary and highly sought-after among collectors. 

This blazer is a great example of the latter. It is a one-buttoned, single-breasted blazer from the fe-male 2009 collection and therefore a unisex piece in a rare small size.
