This coat was featured as a highlight on the runway of Junya Watanabe´s Fall Winter 2016 Collection (look 2). (We also sell another runway piece from this collection.)
The coats in this already celebrated collection were further praised by fashion journalists like Alexander Fury. They especially liked the utilitarian aspects in them, which are so typical for Watanabe. In the case of this coat, that are mainly the solar panels. They not only produce heat, to keep one warm but can also be used to charge a phone or power bank. Adding to that, the material of the coat is also water repellent. It is therefore excellently usable as a raincoat.
This functionality aspect is paired with the otherwise very clean look of the coat. It has two big pockets on the front and one on the chest, as well as sleeve straps. The quality is, as always with pieces from Watanabe, exceptionally.
