This jacket is from Junya Watanabe's longstanding collaboration with Levi's. The collaboration has been going on for more than 20 years now and has produced some of the designers most iconic pieces. Watanabe, who likes to rethink classic workwear garments, has numerous collaborations with brands famous for their durable clothing. Among them are Carhartt, the North Face and last but not least Levi's.

In that sense, this jacket is a typical Watanabe piece. It is a classic two-pocket trucker jacket that Levi's has produced since 1965 as "Type-3". This new interpretation of the classic features blue, green and white stripes throughout and is made from very soft and light cotton; not from a heavy denim material. Adding to that, the jacket is finished in exceptional quality, which, as Watanabe likes to say on his tags, differs from that of standard Levi's products.

The jacket is from Junya Watanabe's Spring Summer 2002 collection and was featured on the runway in a different color in look 40.
