This jacket is from the Belgian designer Kris van Assche who will be known to most enthusiasts as the creative director of Dior Homme and later of Berluti. However, before van Assche became the successor of Hedi Slimane at Dior in 2007, he had already started his own label under his own name which he continued to run until 2015. During this time, he created mainly menswear in his typical style of refined tailoring in muted colors and interesting fabric choices.
This specific jacket is a great example of that practice. It is a two-button blazer with a low button stance and normal-sized lapels. It has a tailored and elegant fit. The jacket features branded buttons and is made from very light and breathable wool which makes the jacket very comfortable to wear. Adding to that, the quality of the blazer is exceptional.
