Paul Harnden Shoemakers is one of the most iconic yet equally mysterious brands in the world of avant-garde and artisanal fashion. Little is known about the British designer and his work, as he is notoriously shy. A whole generation of designers, such as John Alexander Skelton, Archivio J.M. Ribot, and Ziggy Chen, draw inspiration from his work and methods.
For many, his level of craftsmanship is beyond compare. Harnden employs numerous century-old techniques, contributing to the outstanding quality and antique look of his products. Each piece is fully handmade in England or Scotland and designed in his studio in Brighton.
This extremely rare blazer is a true classic in the Paul Harnden lineup. The fully closeable blazer has been available for years in a multitude of variations. This specific one is finished in dark blue with a matching cotton lining. It features four buttons at the front and two working buttons on each sleeve. Additionally, it has two large pockets and one smaller chest pocket. For added practicality, it also features two interior pockets.
What makes this blazer so rare and special is its distressing. The entire piece has multiple distressing details throughout, giving it a totally unique used look.
