Rei Kawakubo, who herself is a great art enthusiast, has often worked with artists and used their images for her clothes. Especially the Comme des Garcons Shirt line is known for its incorporation of art influences (please see our catalog for more examples). In this case, the t-shirt is dedicated to the Polish painter Teresa Pagowska, whose name is also printed on the front of the t-shirt. This piece is very rare.
