This incredible suit dates back to Tom Ford's time at Yves Saint Laurent. The American designer took over the French house in 1999 and continued to run it until 2004, all whilst still being head designer at Gucci. Both fashion houses received a much-needed revamp during Tom Ford's tenure there and he is very likely the reason that they still exist today.
This suit is a typical Tom Ford piece. All the details and characteristics for which he is famous today can already be found in this garment. From the generous wide peak lapels to the rather tailored cut. The blazer has a two-button closure and features two subtle pockets up front, as well as an additional chest pocket. The matching trouser are of course pleated and have a timeless width to them. Both pieces are finished in a very luxurious dark blue with subtle pinstripes. As one would expect, the quality of the suit is incredible. It has a cupro lining, arguably the best in the world for suits, the pinstripe pattern screams luxury, and the lining, buttonholes and neck are hand sewn.
This suit is a true collector's piece and impossible to find again in such a rare size and basically mint condition.
