This jacket is a modern take on the classic military M-65 jacket. The design is mainly characterized by its four flap pockets on the front. It rose to fame during and after the Vietnam war, probably most prominently through Martin Scorsese's 1976 masterpiece "Taxi Driver", in which the main character, Travis Bickle (portrayed by Robert De Niro), can be seen wearing one. Since then, it has been a cult classic and a favorite among designers. You will hardly find one that hasn't put its owner twist on this classic.

Martin Margiela used to incorporate whole vintage garments or at least details from them into his designs, so a modern take on this classic piece of military wear makes perfect sense. His version is finished in a light brown. It features the typical four pockets at the front, a high collar and it is adjustable in the back.
