Carol Christian Poell, who was born in Austria in 1966, lives and works in Milan, where he started his clothing brand in 1995. He does not work within the classic fashion cycle but rather produces and shows when he feels like it. Poell, who has developed a cult following around himself, is widely considered one of the most important and influential designers in the avant-garde and artisanal fashion world. Especially his use of leather and tailoring are revolutionary and highly sought-after among collectors. 

This belt is one of his best-known designs, the so-called double-buckle belt. It consists of two layered belt buckles, one smaller than the other yet both are functional. Due to this unconventional mechanism, the size will fit most wearers. The belt comes in an original rice bag.
