This jacket is from the Belgian designer Kris van Assche who will be known to most enthusiasts as the creative director of Dior Homme and later of Berluti. However, before van Assche became the successor of Hedi Slimane at Dior in 2007, he had already started his own label under his own name which he continued to run until 2015. During this time, he created mainly menswear in his typical style of refined tailoring in muted colors and interesting fabric choices.
This specific jacket is a great example of that practice. It is a two-button blazer with a low button stance, medium-sized lapels and a subtle pinstripe pattern. It has a tailored and elegant fit. The jacket features branded buttons and is made from a luxurious silk and wool mix which gives it a slightly silky look. Adding to that, it is very comfortable to wear and due to the light fabrics also easily wearable all year round. The quality of the blazer is exceptional.
