Carol Christian Poell, who was born in Austria in 1966, lives and works in Milan, where he started his clothing brand in 1995. He does not work within the classic fashion cycle but rather produces and shows when he feels like it. Poell, who has developed a cult following around himself, is widely considered one of the most important and influential designers in the avant-garde and artisanal fashion world. Especially his use of leather and tailoring are revolutionary and highly sought-after among collectors. 

This pair of boots is probably his most iconic and best-known piece, the so-called Tornado boots from the male 2010 collection, which feature the distinctive twisted zip. This specific pair is finished in classic black and made from durable and soft Kangaroo leather. The individual Poell code of this piece is AM/2601L ROOMS-PTC/010. It is piece no. 15 out of 21, according to the booklet. 

The shoes still come with their original insoles, booklet, invoice, and CCP rice bag.
