Note: The sweater appears to be black in some pictures, which is not the case. It is rather blue. The colour is best reflected in the third picture.

Measurements:

This easy-to-wear sweater features a tartan detail on the chest. The classic tartan pattern is a favourite of Rei Kawakubo and her colleagues at Comme des Garcons. They used and still use it very frequently and some of Comme´s most iconic collections featured tartan patterns (please see our catalogue for another Comme piece with a tartan pattern). In Shirt´s Fall Winter 2010 collection, the collection of the sweater, the tartan pattern was also prominently used.

In this case, the use of the pattern is especially interesting, since it can be seen as a sideswipe to the fashion industry. Usually, a company logo is printed on the left part of the chest. Comme des Garcons has no need for the usage of logos. For them, a classic pattern is enough.
